I am Orochimaru and I am 25 years old. Things you might want to know about me: I'm gay and my favorite animal is the snake.

He raised an eyebrow, not looking up from his reading.

“Companionship, intimate or romantic, was never a priority of mine… I’m just not attracted to people.” he said coolly. “I believe the medical term is ‘asexual.’ Secondly I’m too detached from society to even bother with it. Shy, introverted, a hermit, whatever you call it. It’s just never been important enough for me and most people are idiots anyways.”

“Even so…” He looked down and smirked. “Have you ever even been in a romantic relationship?”

“No.” he said, not thinking much about it. “Like I said, it was never a priority.”

“Then I wouldn’t dismiss the fact of ever being in a relationship if  you’ve never tried it out. Who knows… You might find someone who’ll change your mind.”

He chuckled again, turning a page in the hefty book. “Maybe, maybe. But I wouldn’t count on me actively looking for one. …Anyways, how is your work going?” he said, changing the subject.

“Eh, decently. I haven’t been called in too often for work lately. I suppose that’s fine since I get time to relax, but I enjoy work and grow bored if I’m not kept busy.” He looked over at Kabuto. “And yourself?”

“They’ve been overstaffed, so I’ve been incredibly bored lately.” he responded simply.

“We should do something then.” He looked over at Kabuto. “To cure our boredom.”

“I don’t work very well in this romance business.”

“Hm? Don’t worry,” he chuckled, waving his hand. “I’m sure you’ll get someone.”

Orochimaru felt his face turn warm. “What do you mean by that, Kabuto?”

He shrugged. “Well, you’re charismatic and magnetic, bluntly speaking. People are naturally attracted to someone like that. Out of those attracted to you surely someone would catch your interest, so I wouldn’t worry over it.” he chuckled.

“Oh, thank you, Kabuto.” He grinned. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m not worrying about all of this romance business. I just stated that because of all the lust flowing through this house. I’m sure everything will fall together as you say it will.” He nodded at the other man. “You talk like you are experienced with this.”

“Hm? No, no, I’ve got no personal life, so to speak.” he said, laughing slightly. “I don’t care to have one, either. I’m just good at reading people, you know?”

“You don’t care to have one? Are you sure? Everyone has that sliver of hope.” He paused for a second then looked over at Kabuto. “The one where they secretly wish to be in an intimate relationship, even if they deny it.”

“Very well then.” he said, heading for their formerly neighboring rooms. “And no, not a bit. I find them fascinating, in a way.” he chuckled. A few minutes later, and he was with his suitcases, unpacking in the other room over his right bed.

Orochimaru was lying on his bed when his former neighbor walked in. He sat up. “I suppose we should set up a few rules, don’t you think?” He smirked. “You may go first. Anything at all I need to know about?”

He thought for a second as he placed some clothing in his own small dresser.

“None that I can think of beyond common sense and courtesy, really.” he said. “I’d prefer if you didn’t go poking around in my things, but yeah, again, common courtesy. Yourself?”

“I can deal with that.” He nodded. “I sleep naked and I’m not changing that for you.” He said without hesitation.

He paused halfway through unpacking a few books and stared at the man in a small state of disbelief. The other, however, didn’t look to be joking, so he shrugged and shook his head, placing the books on the nightstand.

“Whatever ‘floats your boat’, Orochimaru.” he chuckled lightly.

He laughed. “And I would be wary of the snakes.”

“Not a problem.” he said, finally unpacked to his satisfaction and getting onto his bed, leaning back on the headboard as he scanned one of the books- apparently, medical books. “In the future, if you see any razors or scalpels lying around, they’re mine and I’d like it if you returned them? I’m always loosing them.” he chuckled.

He thought as he scanned over Kabuto’s half of the room. “I don’t see why you would have them lying around the room…” He cast his gaze towards the other man and grinned. “But, of course.”

“I always carry some with me. Force of habit, you could say.” he chuckled, continuing to read.

“I still don’t see why you would have to carry them everywhere.. but ‘whatever floats your boat.’” He chuckled.
